HudSun Studios exists to celebrate pregnancy, childhood, and family life through original artwork that inspires imagination, creativity, and connection.
Our intention is to create a distinctive visual world inspired by motherhood, childhood, nature, storytelling, and home—beginning with original murals, artwork, illustration, and photography and growing into collections that can become part of a family's everyday life.
From the walls of a nursery to the pages of a child's favorite book, from wallpaper and textiles to objects held and loved every day, HudSun artwork is created to nurture imagination, encourage connection, and bring joy to the spaces where childhood happens.
Our long-term vision is for HudSun designs to reach families everywhere through original commissions, publishing, licensing, online retail, and thoughtfully designed consumer collections—while preserving the artistry, warmth, and human connection at the heart of the brand.
Our custom work remains deeply personal and collaborative. Every family, story, and space is different, and we believe the art created for them should reflect that individuality. Whether creating a one-of-a-kind mural or developing a collection that can reach thousands of homes, our intention remains the same: to create work that feels meaningful, imaginative, and made to last.
We are not simply decorating childhood. We are creating the visual world children remember growing up in.

Meet the Founder
HudSun Studios was founded by artist and creative director Kimberly Patota, whose work is centered on enriching the spaces where families grow, connect, and create lifelong memories.
Kimberly earned her degree in Studio Art and Photography from Marist University (Class of 2016), where she developed a foundation in fine art, visual storytelling, and thoughtful design. Following graduation, she worked as an Associate Producer at NBCUniversal, collaborating on commercial productions and gaining invaluable experience in creative direction, project management, and bringing large-scale productions to life.
Her production career later led her to ExpectFit, where she worked as a Producer creating content centered around prenatal and postpartum fitness and wellness. The experience brought her creative background into the world of pregnancy and motherhood — themes that would eventually become an important part of the work she creates through HudSun Studios.
While working in media sharpened Kimberly's creative and organizational skills, it also helped her recognize what she wanted from her own career: the freedom to create meaningful, lasting work and build something that felt deeply aligned with who she is as an artist.
Today, Kimberly combines her background in fine art, photography, and commercial production to create custom murals and imagery that celebrate pregnancy, childhood, wellness, and family. Every project is approached collaboratively, resulting in artwork that is deeply personal and thoughtfully designed to reflect each client's story and transform their environment.
In 2024, Kimberly completed her training as a Level II Shamanic Reiki Practitioner. Her understanding of intentional design and energy informs her creative process, inspiring spaces that feel joyful, calming, and full of life while remaining grounded in each family's unique vision.
